Canterbury Lane offers 20 bachelor suites and secure dementia care in a supportive environment for seniors with cognitive impairment such as Alzheimer’s and other dementias. The Lane has a higher staff-to-resident ratio and has innovative specialized memory care programs.
As Canterbury moves to include some palliative care services, we recognize that many turn to their spirituality for meaning and comfort at the end of life. The spiritual care and counsel that our Chaplain provides is invaluable in helping residents, caregivers, family, and friends who love them — to prepare for end-of-life and to find peace. In this way, Chaplains encourage positive outcomes in improving a patient’s sense of overall comfort and well-being. Where appropriate, our Chaplain is available for prayer, last rites, anointing, and Holy Communion.
The goal of Canterbury Foundation’s Respite Care Suite is to provide an opportunity for primary caregivers with a piece of mind that allows them to be able to be away from their responsibilities of care-giving (vacation, personal emergency, etc.) with the confidence that the care being received is in a safe environment.
